CEO of BPM Ventures, Inc, JocCole Burton is an industrial engineer by training who fell in love with buildings early in her career and moved from field to the corner office. With degrees in Chemical Engineering, LEED AP BD+ C, and an MBA, JC is a recognized business leader, spending her career in development, construction and repositioning of real estate assets both nationally and overseas, while also devoting herself to urban, community, and professional initiatives. With her firm, Maven Construction, acknowledged as a leader in the field, JC is recognized as a community leader who commits to the public good and to addressing inequities.   

A builder of teams and processes always driving results tor clients, she has managed the delivery of high performing, complex projects while promoting inclusion and equity across her 25+ year career.  Prior to joining BPM Ventures, she founded and led a vertical construction company for twelve years, where her firm put in place $1.2B of projects as a general contractor and construction manager.  Much of her work has been centered around alternative energy, water sustainability, and energy efficiency driving towards Net-Zero. JC developed an on-line sustainability platform to help assess final impact measurements for green investments.

The first Black woman to hold a mayoral appointment with Boston’s Construction Licensing Board, JC serves on the Public Facilities Commission, Boston Employment Commission, Black Economic Council of Massachusetts, the Environmental League of Massachusetts,  the Advisory Board of Ben Franklin Institute of Technology, the Construction Management Department, and Browning the Green Space, a non-profit organization driving inclusion in the renewable energy sector. Committed to equity in the industry, JC has served on the boards of the National Association of Black Women in Construction, United States Green Building Council, and the Urban Land Institute Urban Product Council, among others, and was recognized by the Obama Administrator as a White House Champion of Change: Clean Energy.

JocCole “JC” Burton, LEED AP BD+C is CEO of BPM Ventures, Inc. JC is a recognized business leader, spending her career in development, construction and repositioning of real estate assets both nationally and overseas. 

At the core, JC is a builder. JC is the first Black woman to hold a mayoral appointment with Boston’s Construction Licensing Board, which is part of the city’s Board of Examiners and is responsible for issuing Boston Builders Licenses to qualified individuals who complete the application process and pass the examination. JC also serves on the Public Facilities Commission, Boston Employment Commission, the Environmental League of Massachusetts,  the Advisory Board of Ben Franklin Institute of Technology, Construction Management Department,  and Browning the Green Space, a non-profit organization driving inclusion in the renewable energy sector.  

Committed to equity in the industry, JC has served on many Boards positioned to drive change; National Association of Black Women in Construction, Unied States Green Building Council, the Urban Land Institute Urban Product Council among others.  Her work has been recognized  by the Obama Administrator as a  White House Champion of Change: Clean Energy.

JC is the mother of one elementary aged daughter, residing in Dorchester MA. In her spare time, you can find JC with her daughter, roller skating, playing tennis, cooking and advocating for better food access for under-resourced children.
